Report for 2023 - see below
Throughout 2020 and most of 2021 the regular work of the ACE (teaching computer and life skills to young adults) continued to be disrupted by the pandemic and the need for social distancing; through this time the staff of ACE were supported by the Karuna Trust, in the UK. (As the income of the staff would otherwise have fallen, without students to teach).
Following a discussion with Aryaketu in June, 2021 (and a formal proposal - see below) BODHI Australia provided almost A$11,000 from our general account (for which donations are tax deductible) to provide ten additional desktop computers and to provide three laptop computers as long term loans (from ACE, not BODHI) to three very promising students, each from a disadvantaged backgrounds. All these recipients are young women, one is Muslim (not that that matters but we want to remind readers that our recipients need not be Buddhist).

A] Welfare for covid-19 relief (see) nutritious and healthy food distribution to vulnerable and needy (350 families); 350 X 886 = 3,10,100 Rs
B] Cost : 42,000 Rs. per laptop X 2 laptops = 84,000 Rs, one (highly configured) Rs. 66000 Rs.
Total : 150,000 Rs.
C] Aryaloka Computer Education Centre also needs 10 new computers for delivering IT skills to as many as needy students from marginalized communities: 35,000 Rs. X 10 PCs = 3,50,000 Rs.
D] Admin Cost : 50,000 Rs.
Total Grant: A + B + C + D = 8,60,100 Rs ( Eight lakhs, sixty thousand, one hundred rupees only requested)
